The Beginning of Life

When does life really begin?

Did you know that within 10 to 30 hours after a sperm fertilizes an egg the nucleus is merging with the egg and a new set of genetic code is being formulated?  It’s at that moment the chromosomes for determining sex are present.  This new set of DNA is completely and totally different from every person who has ever existed and there will never be another set exactly like it to exist ever again.  Is this unique set of DNA life?

Did you know that the 3 or 4 days it takes for the new DNA cells to travel through the fallopian tubes to the uterus the cells are rapidly dividing, and there is development taking place.  The set of DNA is not just a set of DNA anymore.  Is this cell division and growth evidence of life?

God’s design and process of design is amazing.

Weeks 1 – 9

Psalm 139
13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
